Richard Whiten (Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 1, 1967) is an American actor. He portrays Jimmy Starr, the owner of Starr Records.

Career[]

Since his Hollywood debut on FOX TV series In Living Single in 1994, Richard has appeared in numerous big budget films such as the Spike Lee directed Crooklyn (1994), The Innocent (1994), Retiring Tatiana (2000), The Island (2005), Rules of Engagement (2000), Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010), as Big L in Grindin (2007) and Shadow Puppets (2007), as well as in guest roles on numerous TV series such as NYPD Blue, Beverly Hills 90210, Two and a Half Men, 7th Heaven and Stargate SG-1, where he appeared as Bor-el. He also appeared in the role of Henry in four episodes of the NBC-TV series In The House, opposite stars LL Cool J and Debbie Allen during the show's 2nd and 3rd seasons.
